Self-Diverting Acid System

CS OILFIELD Self Diverting Acid System (CS – SDA) provides sufficient retardation and helps prevent excessive leak-off through wormholes of carbonates. CS- SDA is used in combination with other acids to improve zone coverage. It has proven one of the most effective diverting systems for carbonate matrix acidizing.

System functions by in-situ crosslink of the polymer. This occurs as the acid is spent, the pH of the fluid increases causing the polymer to complex, when the fluid is completely spent, the fluid system breaks back. CS-SDA contains no solids or particulates which could bridge when pumping, can be used in either cased hole or open hole completions since it diverts in the formation rather than on it. CS-SDA has the greatest potential in treating zones with widely varying permeability streaks and horizontal wells.
